About

Why Malaysia?

Malaysia is a strategic country and the number of people groups we are going to be able to reach is plenty. Students from all over Asia go to Malaysia for higher education because it is being taught in English, eliminating the language barrier for us to minister.
I was worship leading regularly at a church that had a 80% african population, and these are the students that will go back and make a change. In another student house where we had english nights, we had students from the middle eastern countries such as Iran, japan, china, india, and many more all in one living room.

In East Malaysia, we are able to visit churches that are in oil palm plantations, working with indonesian laborers, and the native people of Borneo.

Malaysia is still a muslim country, Islam is the largest and the official religion of Malaysia, though it is a multi-religious society with many other religions prevailing. According to the Population and Housing Census 2000 figures, approximately 60.4 percent of the population practiced Islam; 19.2 percent Buddhism; 9.1 percent Christianity; 6.3 percent Hinduism; and 2.6 percent practice Confucianism, Taoism and other traditional Chinese religions.

The amount of people groups we are able to reach is higher than any other country in the region, the opportunity to share Christ is plentiful! The team of LU students will be playing in more than 20 venues, allowing us to impact more than 40 colleges and churches around Malaysia. With the ministry already established there, we are able to reach out to international students from all around the world ( Africa, China, Japan, Middle East, Neighboring Asian Countries) who are college students in Malaysia – they are the ones who are going back to their home countries and make a difference with Christ in them!

We are planning to do testimony and worship nights, and sum the whole trip by leading worship at a conference for college students in Kuala Lumpur. We will be playing at venues ranging from student houses to mission churches, plantation compounds to large community churches.

If you are a student from Liberty University, especially the worship majors, I believe this is what we are called to do! This is the simplest and most practical form of augmenting what we are learning in David’s Place and LU for the glory of God.

If you are from Malaysia, our hearts are burdened for the potential that Malaysia has and we are seeking God to equip us in any way possible so we can serve with you as a whole body of Christ. We want to help in establishing a passionate generation of Malaysians who will realize the influence that they have in impacting the world for Christ.

“Look at the nations and watch and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told” Habakkuk 1:5.

The Time Is Now, The Place Is Malaysia.
